WiFi Robots

At the Beijing International High Tech Expo this week robots modeled after the characters in the popular mobile game Angry Birds were controlled via WiFi. The robots are designed to create their own wireless network which allows smartphones to connect to and control them.
Products based on this concept of wireless-network-control technology will be released this summer and will work with all the major smartphone operating systems, according to developers. Other robots at the show that attracted a crowd were performing synchronized dances and other stunts such as headstands. Each part of the robots could be individually controlled via laptop. In another project, a toy car was controlled via tablet. It appeared that the tablet's accelerometer was controlling the car, and as the tablet was tilted in a given direction the motorized toy would move in that same direction.
